Night 6: Long ago

Just as I was looking for something in my English notebook, I found this poem I'd written sometime in October last year. It was an assignment from the textbook, and I love it and it scares me at the same time. Notice the beginning of the lines? That was the assignment...

Fiery flames across the fields
Incinerating everything.
God's greatest grieves
Have come down to the Earth
Terrible deaths hurting the hearts
In which God's love could see redemption
Nothing remains the same
God saves the souls of worthy ones.

Damnation for the guilty,
Ravaging pain that tears the soul.
Amongst them an angel comes
Greeting the gruesome scene.
Over the passing time, omnious
Night-walkers kill more prey.
Sinners shall be  gone.
